Snare drum with 32 motorized sticks.

"Each strike sounds almost the same, yet there are subtle differences, and visually a dance of choreographed arrangements unfolds.
The principle can be applied to any round percussion instrument—hi-hat, any kind of drum, gongs. The setup marks the turning point between acoustic and visual composing; the stage is the membrane, the ancient circular platform where the orchēstra performs."
